5 Small (But Easily Fixable) Mistakes Most People Make When Picking A Place For Their First Grow Tent
Setting up a grow tent isn’t just about “setting up” the tent.
It’s actually far more about setting yourself up for success with the right location for your tent — and not fighting an uphill battle of little mistake after little mistake.
For anyone setting up their first grow tent, these are the 5 small (but easily fixable) mistakes most people make when selecting a spot to put it — and why, if you can avoid these, your grow is going to be exponentially better:
Mistake #1: “Outdoor-Indoor Space”
I.e. Your gardening shed. Or your barn. Or a Pop-Up Camper from the 90s that’s been in the backyard for years and needed a purpose. This is especially true during the times of extreme temperatures and humidity. It’s possible, but you’re going to need extra equipment, and extra due diligence to account for the unstable, and often undesirable, ambient conditions surrounding your tent.
Mistake #2: “Fits like a glove!”
Your grow tent should have room to breathe; it shouldn’t “fit like a glove,” barely sliding into whatever nook, cranny, or closet you’ve fit it in. Yes, you can absolutely grow in closets, I did it for my first grow, but you have to be EXTRA mindful of your air quality, both circulation and ventilation, to avoid stagnant pockets where problems thrive (like PM and mold).
