5 Ways We Can Make The Grow Community More Welcoming To Beginners

Perfectionism is a MAJOR issue in cannabis social media.

Larger accounts only posting the best of the best of their “perfect” plants.

Passing it off as the norm.

Glossing over the fuck-ups and moments of panic.

Then creating imaginary hurdles saying how hard it is to grow.

This needs to be fixed if we want beginners to feel confident growing their own

Here’s how we fix it:

5 Ways We Can Make The Grow Community More Welcoming To Beginners

  1. Calling out growers who gatekeep
  2. Sharing successes as well as failures
  3. Approaching discussion without ego
  4. Productive conversation ( instead of “constructive” criticism)
  5. Treating new growers like we wish we were treated

Over the course of the past 4 years, my posts have seen more trolls than I can count.

It will require a total team effort to create a welcoming community for growers of all skill levels
