It’s a grower’s worst nightmare:
Someone posts a picture of your bud…
With what looked like a patch of mold.
My stomach did a flip.
It was my weed in the picture.

This week, I met up with @chris_honeybee for an event he threw at a nearby cannabis farm.
During the meetup, I gave him a jar of some Orange Ice Pop from my recent harvest.
Today, I learned that there was a spot of white mold on one of the buds.
My stomach flips just writing that.

But, from the photo, it was hard to tell.
Let me back up with a bit of context:

First, I’ve smoked a few ounces of this same harvest, from different jars, and given samples to close friends as well.
No reports of this issue, many of whom are much more experienced growers than myself.

Second, this sample was jarred differently than the rest of those jars, in a airtight sealed container much earlier as well.

Third, I often jar up small samples before leaving the house.
They are great surprises for friends, or tips for people like the pizza guy.
