“Do I need to buy a carbon filter?”
No.
You don’t.
At least not until flower.
I run 1 flower tent with a filter, 1 without.
If you don’t care about smell, you don’t need it.
Think about it like this:
Carbon filters scrub exhaust, not intake.
They don’t help your plants.
They make your grow less noticeable.
They remove funky skunky pot smells.
Keeping the smell of your grow IN your grow.
So, if it’s your first grow, and you want to get started and you’re trying to figure out how to budget everything, and you’re looking for ways to batch your purchases, save the carbon filter for once things start stinking.
