Hiding in Plain Sight: Wrigley’s, Zkittlez, and Big Candy’s (First) Cannabis Play?

Today, we’re talking about Wrigley and Skittles. You know, the giant candy corporation that launched a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against a pot brand?

As a kid, I grew up visiting my grandparents in Lake Geneva, WI where we would often take the boat tour around the lake, learning about the history of the town and all of its sprawling, lakefront estates, including those owned by the Wrigley family. There’s numerous stories about how this family (and business) acquired the six properties of the Wrigley Estate.

In one such story, Wrigley simply would not take no for an answer.

Taking his checkbook in hand, he marched over to the neighbors house and handed him a blank check, taking ownership of the property on the spot.
