Do you want to work in Cannabis?
I have been working in and around the cannabis industry for 10 years now. And what I can tell you (from experience) is that in order to work in this industry you need to have the same mindset as a graduate student choosing their thesis topic:
If you don’t love it, you’ll hate it.
This was the advice given to us when choosing our Masters’ thesis.
The main point: It’s not a labor of love without the love.
You can be a talented professional with all sorts of skills, but if you don’t absolutely love cannabis, this industry will beat you down, chew you up, and spit you out.
Remember, the legal cannabis industry just started, which means its growing pains are only beginning.
As hard as writing an 80+ page thesis on a topic you can’t stand, working in in cannabis without a relationship with cannabis will break even the most experienced professionals.
