Not everything gets better with age.

For example:

Your IPM Chemistries.

I learned this the hard way, which is why I’m reminding other growers to check dates regularly and restock appropriately.

If you read The Hobby Grow, you already know what happened:

I got Powdery Mildew (PM).

As a result, I had to cull all of my flowering plants, and go to extensive curative lengths to try to clean up any trace left in the grow.

Let me back up…

It popped up 3–4 weeks before everything got nuked.

At the first sight, I went back to diligent IPM applications that had previously proven to work.

But here’s what even the newsletter audience didn’t know until now (because I didn’t know it at the time):

The tools I was relying on were expired.

And not just sort of expired.

4 years old expired.

Which explains why:

  • they didn’t do anything
  • the issue turned into a problem,
