There’s one thing legal cannabis forgets:
Most people don’t want to do anything themselves.
Let alone grow their own weed when they can go buy it.
And the ones that do grow their own?
Many of them STILL buy weed — it’s just by choice, not need.
And the ones that don’t?
They were never loyal customers (or a proper target audience) to begin with.
Even with the legal right, <1% of beer drinkers brew their own.
I know plenty of craft beer snobs.
Most of them would rather let others do the work, so that they can appreciate the art in its final form.
The same holds true to cannabis.
Home growers are not a threat to commercial operators.
If anything, they go hand-in-hand, encouraging each other to be better.
