The Exact Moment I Committed To Growing My Own Cannabis

My commitment to growing cannabis started…

About 3 weeks after I planted my first seeds.

At the time, I was living in a 2 bedroom apartment

That explicitly prohibited weed.

And I had neighbors.

Nosy neighbors.

The kind of nosey neighbors who ask if everything is alright when they don’t see your dog on your back patio for a few days.

The nosiest.

At 3 weeks, my little plant:

  • Was producing full-fledged pot leaves
  • About 6" tall in total
  • Living on my patio

And I FREAKED out.

As my wife will tell you

I panicked.

My nosey neighbors were going to call the cops.

I was sure of it.

Which left me with 2 options:

1. Kill it.

Call it a fun experiment.

Life goes on.

2. Buy a grow tent.

Just a little one.

Just to see how it feels.

But commit to keeping this plant alive through harvest.

My first plant, freshly moved into my first grow tent (2x2x4') in a 2-bedroom apartment.

Looking back, it seems like such an obvious choice.

I love this plant, and I’m going to consume it for a long time.

At this point, there’s more reasons to grow it than not.

What made you commit to the grow?

When did you understand the benefits of growing your own?
